Gentlemen,

I have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of

30th ultimo and beg to inform you that my pension will be

granted under regulations authorised by His Excellency the

Governor in Council and printed in the Government Gazette

dated 21st July 1891. It is a later regulation which

does not affect me which makes the age for retiring 45

years.
